Responsible outreach

Email Outreach Compliance Guide

What ReachScraper does when you send email, and what you need to handle yourself.

Supported sending methods

Campaigns are sent from your own mailbox through an SMTP connection you add in Settings (Hostinger, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Zoho, Outlook, or custom SMTP on port 465). Sends are throttled to your plan's hourly limit and your mailbox's own limit. Gmail connections are intended for transactional, follow-up, or opt-in communication, not bulk cold outreach.

Sender-domain authentication

ReachScraper does not configure DNS for you. Before sending, set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for your sending domain with your email or domain provider. Use a domain you control, keep volumes gradual, and monitor bounces. ReachScraper does not provide inbox warm-up or mailbox rotation.

Unsubscribe and suppression

ReachScraper adds an unsubscribe link to every campaign and drip email. Also include your accurate business identity and postal address in every message. When someone opts out or asks for deletion, mark the lead as Unsubscribed: campaigns only send to Active leads, so unsubscribed and bounced leads are excluded from future sends.

Limits of open tracking

Open tracking uses an invisible image. Some email clients block or pre-load images, so opens can be missed or over-counted. Links are also tracked, and clicks are a stronger signal than opens. Treat open data as a signal, not proof of engagement.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact each recipient and for following laws that apply to you, such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, ePrivacy, and CASL. Requirements differ by country and recipient type. ReachScraper does not guarantee deliverability or legal compliance.
